Merry Christmas and See you in the New Year!!

Last night was our first of two family Christmas Events- today we leave on our trip for the second! Sadly, I have no computer access in the great white north of Canada so this will be my last post before the new year (and the January Stamp of the Month Blog hop!!).

A Very "tweet" card!

I know what you are thinking- another Felicity project?!! But it is just such a cute kit- in fact you could say it is very 'tweet'! This 2 x 31/2 card was easy to make and did not even take up much paper. The majority of the background was stamped using the argyle stamp in the Felicity set- I added a dot to mimic that pattern of the paper from the kit that I did use. I then added two of the bird stamps from the set and then a touch of ribbon to finish it all off! Voila!

Felicity Card full of LOVE!

This card is just another in my series of creations using our National Papercrafting Month special- Felicity!! To make this card I used the back of one of the die-cut circles and a lot of the stamps to create my background. I also used the stamps to create my floral center piece. This is such a beautiful set that it is easy to use in a variety of ways!!

Globe Ball Ornament for Practical Scrappers Challenge

Well, I am pleased as punch! This is my second post today and I have things lined up for the next week!! I guess it certainly helps that the 'weather outside is frightful' and 'inside is sure delightful'!!

Tonight I decided to tackle one of the projects that I printed off about a month ago- I found this through Jessica Sprague's Holidays in Hand course- it was one of the many projects links she offered but for the life of me I cannot find the link- if you are looking for directions try google-ing Globe Ball Decorations and KaiserCraft as it was on their website! The project is really cute but requires some major patience- folding all those little pieces and glueing the sides together can easily frustrate some!!

Get a Completely different look with Felicity!!

If you have followed my last two posts you will have already seen some great examples of Felicity- our special for the end of December and January. This layout was also created with Felicity and you can see that it has a completely different look and feel then my last layout! For this one I chose to work with shades of Sorbet and Garnet- and I used the gorgeous flourish and flower paper from Felicity. All the stamped images were created with the Felicity stamp set. Accessories used are pewter designer brads, foundry metal accents and sparkles!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!

Canada is certainly a place that most people identify with cold winters and lots of snow. It is a rare winter that we escape this (especially since we live in an area affectionately known as the Snowbelt!) Up until last week though, we had not really had any snow, the temperatures had been cold at times but even that was not too bad. Well, Mother Nature must of realized what was going on because last week we had several snowsquall go through the area- our town was mostly untouched but just 5 minutes up the highway they received TONNES of snow. So much that a town North of us had to declare a snow emergency due to the over 3 metres of snow that had fallen!!!

Yesterday my snow had his snow stuff on at 8:30 in the morning - ready to build a snowfort (or igloo as he insists although I do not know how this will be possible) and to sled on our backyard hill. He had a great time!! Best thing about these days to me is coming inside and finding a warm activity- for me it is retreating to my scrapbook space, putting the space heater at my feet and getting some scrapbooking or cardmaking done while I watch a Christmas movie (yesterday it was Love Actually- if you have never seen it run out and rent it now!! you will not be disappointed!).

I made this sweet card yesterday using some of the paper and die-cut circles in the Felicity collection. The tree branch is part of the swirl and the bird and leaves is also part of the stamp set. Black brads, clear buttons and black waxy flax help to finish it all off. If you receive the Felicity set you will notice this card on the sample project list- I changed mine slightly but kept to the same idea! Hope you enjoy!
